Here's a thought. Everyone knows my views on hydrolastic suspension and the vivid imagination of Moulton - and his bikes. A frill if not a total fraud but there you go! But has anyone, using a, say '66 price list, totted up the price of the hydrolastic components of a Mini v. the dry components? That way we'll arrive at a ball-park cost difference.

And while we're here, can anyone tell us whether any of the parts of the LAST minis were the same at the FIRST production mini's. Except for the what are called the workshop consumables, such as nuts, screws, washers, bolts, split pins etc etc

Are the things you mention Rich exactly the same or just completely interchangeable?
Reason I ask is I was going to suggest wheels, but early wheels were riveted together and later welded, also different colour paint, but completely interchangeable.
Just dawned on me the last Minis were on 12” wheels.

the same I would say

if you wanted interchangeable, then the list is endless

you can also play the part number game and look at stuff that has the same part number, if you really want to be sad......
