I have seen a few very early ones (59's) with the part and date scratched in rather than stamped in. The styles all look similar, so I would think it is original. I have been looking for a 61 dated one, but not seen one to date, so maybe the stamped type came in after this? Sure people on here will have more knowledge and examples of them.

The ones which were supplied as replacement parts didn't have dates in them either
