The original shell is totally stripped and away getting some minor welding done before a full respray.

So I had a chance to spend the day going through all the bits I put in the garage attic about 17 - 18 years ago. Huge smile when I saw the condition of the original brocade rear seats. They only had about 8 years in the car before going into storage first time around, got cleaned, and put away again :D

Wow, I'd lock it back away. Far too many on here after red/gold brocade rear seats.

The front seats weren't brocade, and these were fitted from new according to the original owner. Restall recliners I believe they are called?

Seem to be missing one door card insert, the things that jam the door cards in place, but otherwise all brocade that was in the loft has survived thankfully.

By the looks of things the drivers side rear of door - there was a plain grey one in the without brocade.

Fancy swapping a set of proper front seats for those horrid black ones :)

Seriously though, This is going to be a cracker!

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mark, after 37 years in bits (at a guess), the car deserves to be reassembled. The seats came out some time before that too - in the mid 70s I think when we stripped it rallying.

I chatted to the original owner some years back, and know the other 3 owners too - so everyone's expecting me to show up in it next year ;-)
