Has anyone seen any of the new panels from Magnum?

Apparently all their front end tools have been renewed & they are doing a 1 piece full floor pressing!

I would post a link, but I saw it on facebook & the post has disappeared forever. They are displaying at the NEC this weekend though.

Perhaps Heritage can use them for their new Mk1 Bodyshells?

It does make you wonder that IF Magnum can make a Mk1 bodyside, why can't Heritage ?

Hopefully the MKI side pressing will be of decent quality, would make my MKI resto a whole lot easier but it really begs the question if Magnum can do it why can't Heritage.Perhaps the Heritage bean counters must think it is not worth the investment.

I am really looking forward to these panels.

Although Magnum have sometimes been branded with the old "fits where it touches" label, this was usually true of very old panels that were made from very old tools. Anything newly made is usually pretty decent.

I reckon the biggest difference between Heritage & Magnum is that Magnum is run as a private company by people who want to make a success of it, where as Heritage appears to be owned & run by people who were too stupid or lazy to get a real job when Rover Group finally went tits up.

Harsh words I know, but many of the stories that you hear about Heritage probably justify this. I would really like to think that they can get their act together, but the farce over these horrible "MK1" shells would suggest otherwise.

Maybe......, just maybe, when Heritage realise that they have got some real competition for quality AND price, they'll buck their ideas up regarding these early panels
