You can read about the 1100 here: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=19533

Does the Princess fit in here? It's of the Hydragas family, has a gearbox-in-sump arrangement and exhaust that's a nuisance to get to stay sealed at the manifold-to-downpipe join with poor access. It's like a Mini, but bigger, and squishier, and weirder looking.

If you'd like me to put Princess updates in the ADO16 and Other Vehicles section I'd be happy to do that. If it's not suitable let me know and I shan't post updates on it. Can't offer much in the way of info on the Wolseley Six as that's not mine, unfortunately.

I absolutely hate the things, but why not, I suppose it's part of the family and you can't choose your relatives.

You can't hate on the wedgey waftbarge full of veneer and velour. They're a superb accompaniment for a Triumph TR7.

As the section title is "ADO16 & Other Interesting Vehicles or Projects" I would think its ok to post in that section, I have certainly posted about other BMC/BL vehicles like the Metro and Mark did say recently the forum needs more members posting topics.

It's a complimentary part of the Princess package.

I'll get something together for the Princess over on the relevant section. Six years of ownership come February. It has been a _journey_

The journey you should have made was to walk a long way away from it :D

Ahh, Journey, responsible for inflicting the pain of The Eye of the Tiger and Don't stop Believing on tender ears.

Actually "eye of the tiger" was by Survivor, but, yes, equally painful.

I have a distant memory in my past that the Army and RAF purchased 6 or 8 of the 1800 Princesses for trials to see whether they were a suitable replacement for the old BL 1800 deep bronze green staff cars and the last Zephyrs that were being phased out slowly. I don't think that the Princess trials proceeded past the first week. I forget what they adopted - but it wasn't from BL and at the same time stopped buying the little utility type cars and vans in khaki/deep bronze green, just sticking to the easy to sell on standard colours
