Does anyone remember anything about these minis supposedly from the late 70's? Were done by Batchelors to promote the new snackpot. Apparently there were around 60 of them? Apparently they were privately owned so that's why there is a mix of mk1's, mk3's clubmans etc I am guessing. My cousin is a journalist and wants to do an article about it and asked me to see if I can find out anything.

Was this the scheme where you signed up for a year and they sprayed the car? I think you got a free respray at the end if you didn't like the colour.

I also remember the scheme in the 1970 or 80's where you signed up to use your Mini for advertising for a year, rather like some London taxis do now......the Mini ad used a Levi Jeans Mini with a zip fastener painted on as it an example (or was it vinyl?) Got a copy of the old ad somewhere, I think it was published in one of those monthly used car price guides but I never actually saw any on the road.

I used to work with a chap that signed up to the Levi Jeans advertising. He declined to do the next advertising campaign he was offered after that. It was for Durex Condoms and he said it would be too embarrassing to drive round with his old mum in the car
