Times change, but sometimes places don't, well not that much.

John Sprinzels Lancaster Mews workshops then & now.

Great picture! Of course the property might be listed/have a preservation order?
One thing that WILL have changed dramatically is the value

Got any more details of this photo and especially date. That's my sister Brenda on the left, confirmed by wife about 2 minutes ago and could be brother I-L stood between 2nd and 3rd car. He bought his Austin Cooper S from Sprinzel in 1965 - MMD216C

Sorry, I have no further info on that Pic, but Pete Flanagan might.

Here's a bigger version. It is one of my very, very favourite pictures, so evocative of that mid 60's period, just before everyone ended up looking like this

Not that, that in itself was a bad thing!

Great pictures; I like the girl with the deceased fox wrapped around her neck in the top pic.......not very hippy! (not your sister again Peter?).

I'm in agreement with the change in the price, it would be obscene now and more than most normal people would earn in a lifetime.
If only?
Hind sight is such a wonderful thing.

Your collective memories are rubbish!!!!

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14309&hilit=elford

Sadly the pic in the original post has been Photofucket'd..

Christabel Carlisle right, blondie John Whitmore centre and Vic Elford far right. Great shot isn't it?? Sprinzel pops up on my facebook page now and again, still going strong and with a good memory! He must have some great stories, I found another shot taken outside there with a rock group , who I cannot fathom (yet!!) with two identical Mk3 coachbuilt Minis which I presume they owned?? I'll sort a Flikr account out and post up. I did post up a previous shot of Ursula Andress outside Sprinzel's recieving her tastefully tweaked Cooper S, Cathy McGowan ditto, Patti Boyd's sister, Isabel Black, Jean Shrimpton all Sprinzel customers ..or did BMC give them away via Sprinzel?? I'll ask him.

Sprinzel 2nd from right, is he talking to Don Moore? I know Whitmore had his car up for sale here.
