God I'm under pressure here, with lack of pressure. Initially had 75 psi on the gauge just spinning the starter but leave it an hour, and nowt. Can't get it to light up either, no one to operate starter while i operate strobe.
Due to go on a field trip to Galway Mini Centre next Friday and it needs some running in miles.

It's electronic so i can't get it to spark by twisting dizzy. Anyway it's running, I gave the dizzy a good big twist from the previous scribed mark. I must have the drive fitted a tooth differently from before. Tons of oil pressure too.
Just pulled head down again so a bit if a road trip for fresh super unleaded and a road test is in order.

How much is tons of oil pressure?

I was getting 75lbs on the starter and more like 100lbs when I started the engine. From what I have been told you need the oil pressure to be around 75lbs when running. You can have too much oil pressure, and you will end up with leaks....
I had used the uprated spring and ball from minispares.....
I went back to the original spring and oil pressure release valve and was getting a more normal level of 75lbs when first started.

Ball and spring, 80psi cold, 60 hot. I hadn't this trouble first time, i imagined that when i saw decent pressure on the starter I'd have all the galleries filled. Anyway it starts half a turn, gauge shooting straight up.
I hope there's gears in it I haven't built a box in 20 years.......
