'69 Austin Cooper 'SCV 272G' when I went down to Marlow for a shuftie at it seven years ago, looks ok but as I said earlier it needed the full works. S3 E-Type and Maserati Indy sharing the barn space, out of shot was a Bentley S1 saloon and an early H' reg'd Aston Martin DBS and in the next door barn was another pair of Aston V8S. SCV was one of a matching pair of Snowberry / Black Coopers which the seller had brought up from the West Country on trailers, in retrospect I should have bought the other one...

Good to hear mate - I never got to drive the other one, I think it sold pretty quickly though.

On this day in 1967 BMC proudly displayed their 'new' mk11 Mini to the public at the Earls Court Motorshow.

Happy 50th birthday mk11 Mini

Mines not quite 50 but these two photos were taken 45 years apart.

I'll be out and about in mine today, anyone else ?

Nick :)

My first S was a MK2. I still miss it.

Anyone ever seen OUT 673 G ?

Just answered my own question, Untaxed since Sept 86, when I sold it.

I picked up my 69 S Type in 2004. I just love a Red and Black Mk2.
This one had 20 some aftermarket bits tacked on at some point maybe
when new.
It has an Oselli 163 head and maybe an Oselli built S engine. H4's, LCB, and a
Peco dual tip exhaust. It goes like a scolded cat.
Interior has old Hopkirk recliners, Rokee, Moto-Lita, and Smiths tach.
Exterior with Benelite, old GB's, Waso caps, rear wiper and short
Sliding roof.
I'm hoping to spend some time on it in the near future to get it back
on the road. It's a bit rough around the edges but that just makes it
easier to live with.

This is the only pic I have now. This is BEFORE restoration ;-)

It ended up as OEW under black with S recliners & 3.5" S rims.

Sadly it caught fire at one point & was never quite the same again. It was sold to some guy in the Midlands, I can't remember his name off hand, it was Greg something

He bought it unseen & moaned a bucketfull that it wasn't as good as I made out
