 They are all called EX WORKS  so it does not matter how original it is.

(my ex did also do a lot of things on her body)
Only joking there is no ex for me, still happy married with Nelleke for 32 years now.

It is like money, false or genuine if you pay with it and the other accept it you will have what you want.

 Kees.

I realise that everyones treading on egg shells on this sort of thread Mk1 - like the Abinbgdon works car meeting thread but they're quite interesting especially if, like me, you have absolutely no interest in works this that and the other, no axe to grind or, well....., really don't give a shxx one way or the other. So here's an idea. Why not just give a verbal arse kicking to anyone that rocks the politeness boat or who goes over the top or......., you know the sort of thing......, then delete his/her post

I made up a good Norton Commando from one half decent rideable one, a junker with a superb frame and another that'd been stripped for the engine. The cops came round to examine the result and allocated the main frame registered number. But I told them that it had already been written off as scrapped/damaged - so I got the 'L' registered number plate. The master file at DVLC was amended and that was it.

Because regarding this particular subject it doesn't work.

People on both sides of the debate seem to put common sense out of the window on this one subject. I delete a post & I'm accused of favouring one side or the other, I always get it in the neck from both. TBH, I find it hard to decide which particular group are worse, the haters or the whiners.

I genuinely wish that a sensible debate could be had, but so far it is something that has remained illusive. Fingers crossed for the threads running at the moment.

I lay awake at night, sleepless, wondering about the ex works and other 'specials' cars saga........ I wonder if the same applies to Downton Minis or John Cooper 'flogging a dead horse' Rover Mini's etc etc will ever reach such a fever pitch.

:o Oké Mark it is beter to close this topic, things are not going the way I tought it would go.
I was hoping to see pictures from cars who did not made it after an crash and where written off.

It was not supposed to be to start an "what is an original ex Works" or so, every body has his own
opinion about it and that was not what I meant to be.

 Kees.

The reason I didn't lock it back on page 1 when I first saw it was as I said - it'll just pop up again in a new form.

Honestly, this subject has had more resurrections that the cars it discusses........ 8-)
