850MCG's chassis number is KA2S4-552514 btw.

DVLA have it down as K-A2SA-552514 for some reason....

Ha, ha, there were "downton race heads" & "Downton Race Heads".

It's a bit difficult to read, but the spec here from 1967 has an inclined valve head listed.

Just watching 2017 HERO Three legs of Mann stage on TV and spotted this, from the Isle of Mann motor museum. I remembered the registration was discussed earlier on this thread.

The registration MN1071 has been put on a few Mini Coopers and is not included in the sale of the car as that appears in the Car and classic advert. Perhaps the owner of the blue car can shed some light on the history of the white car?
