I you are sure then that would explain! Thanks for the replies. Can I therefore conclude that 4417 for the S were voltage stabilised?

Thanks to thee down under.This means that Mr Parnells info is incorrectly printed.Still asking if 4417 were stabilised?

Yes, 4417 is stabilized. And Parnel is incorrect in that particular sentence as explained before.

OK. Here is my 2 penn'orth. I actually have info on MPH speedos only but if we assume the 'A' added onto the SN number is for KPH then I can say that the SN4417/18 was used from Oct 64 to 65. The 4479 speedos such as 4479/20 were used from April 63 to Sept 64.
