I'd imagine tax reasons, but the fact it makes it clear they are using 2nd hand cars would imply otherwise? they would be exempt from the tax that led Lotus and others to supply part built new cars to avoid purchase tax, wouldn't they?

Shows how the connertation of the word 'kit' has changed though, doesn't it.

I wonder what age this flier is, if the donors are '61-'62?

UKB 8H S&A sprint bought off Mike Kearon in 1970 by Geoff Murray with an 1100 engine. Was meant to go racing but Kearon changed plans and bought a Camaro instead.

Restored in the 90s and sold to Maruyama bling’d up as a Rob Walker racer. The logbook appeared on Ebay some years later and the reg number now seems to be on a Merc.

Came across this link to the Mini Magazine article from 2014 on the well known '67 S&A W&P Sprint whilst looking for something else...

Awesome car... deaseamed / Stewart & Ardern / Wood & Pickett (twice!)... I think the only things I'd change on it would be the arches and the depth of the front valance... ;)
