Indeed. The asking price is £75k - which strikes me as a lot given it isn’t an S or a hatchback. I like the colour but if we’re being picky some of the detailing is poor (wrong rocker cover, wrong horn, no bulkhead soundproofing, no reducer and fresh air hose, sill plates should be stainless with chrome screws, no alloy wheel centres, no knob on the end of the heater control, no radio speaker behind the grille (which has been painted black), wrong headlamp flasher switch, wrong telltale warning lights in dash, wrong electric window switches (should be Aston DB5 chrome type to operate the Piper window motors), the boot lid badge is a later Radford Freestone and Webb (doesn’t say Radford Coachbuilders). No Radford Coachbuilders badges on the front wings near the A panels, headlamps should probably be concave Cibie by late 1966 rather than Lucas P700 etc. So yes it is lovely... but is it a £75k car....?
Hi James,
I found that Radford in Madrid in 2012 and brought it home, very original car with nice Downton engine but having to many coachbuilt projects sadly it had to go to a friend of mine mr Walters who then sold it to another friend Mr Joslin and then it’s current owner. It’s been a very lucky car for us all as we all found other coachbuilt cars when in our possession.
The rear Radford badge is the one that was on the car. The car sat in Radfords till mid 67 which explains the later badge, the P700 would also be spot on. As far as I know the modern electric window system is fitted to the door as Steve uses but the problem about that system is the chrome DB5 switches won’t work with it, but I reckon there could be a work around if you had a clever auto electrician. But £75k is to much. Shame the seller didn’t sort the other details as they are small money and quick easy jobs.

Nev,
That is really good to know - You and Fred makes for good provenance! It does look to be a nice car! I agree the details are sortable. But the asking price is huge!
