A tatty set of dash cover panels, early set pre-1974.

What differentiates an early GT dash from later?

I have a GT Gauge set and Rokee dash in the garage.....I'd like to know if "early or late"

A rusty used wing for £100? Wow. I must have a look in my stash. I suspect that I have a few of those.

That does look very original. Looking at the odometer reminds me of our first Mini. We never knew what mileage it had actually covered as almost every time it had to roll over to the next 1000 miles, it stuck just like that one for a few weeks and then, when it felt like it, would start working again! When we sold it, it too appeared to have completed only a low mileage
One of the Coopers I had later did exactly the same although to a lesser extent and I've often laughed at sellers claims of car mileages as, working for a dealership when Minis were an everyday car, I'm aware of how many new speedo heads we sold as replacement parts

My '60 has 32K on its speedo, 1st time round.....however, I know the original was replaced for that exact same reason in 1969 when it had around 50K on it !

As you say Richard, so common, but actually a relatively easy repair.

Take a look at this item Hydrolastic Lever hand pump item number 232748599433. £40....... Good mind to bid on it just for the fluid......... Says it's only been used once on his MGF plus almost 5 litres of hydro fluid. I've been using one of these pumps for 10 years now and can't fault mine. No need for a vacuum pump if you follow what I've said and been doing
