I think that it is a fake - or altered original. Because I had a white (Glacier) Morris in very late 1969 and wanted a black badge instead of the silver version on my white car. Asked Victoria Garage and Steels in Swindon and they said no, not in any of the parts lists or microfisches either. If it was made by Lucas, as all the originals were, it'd be in their supplementary suppliers contract list. But it certainly looks real.......

In the mid to late 1980's someone made a batch of black Morris badges - probably off the original tooling.
