A guy in Sheffield in the early seventies had a mini auto with a modified 1275 in it.
A friend I went to college with worked at the garage that maintained it said it couldn't handle the power and kept breaking the gearbox
Not sure how good one would be in a hill climb car

Find another pair in that condition. No rips or tears, no much fading of the red vinyl, they look pretty good to me. Also a set of repop covers from Newtons is £400 and a pair of their recliners is £1300, and then you'd need a rear seat cover as the new will stand out against the old. These look like the real thing even if the colours are slightly different.

I agree with Stu, yes it's stiff money, but not as crazy as some prices I have seen.

Good condition original trim is getting hard to find & the Newton stuff is simply not up to snuff in a lot of cases.

i bet it would make a great track day car with it been mid engined, the suspension looks ace

it really needs another body filleting over the top of it
