Looks a decent car, just a few hours on the engine bay might increase it's appeal!

Certainly tidy. Our new favourite website says :

'1967 MORRIS MINI COOPER on numberplate NJJ 252E was first registered on Saturday 1st of October 1983'.

So missing 16 years of history. Possible import, or an ex race car registered for the 1st time?

Autotrader lists it as an import in the check history bit.

There are few enough Tweed Grey cars around without spraying another one red. That is how they all seem to end up.

This was the story I was given :
"The Mini is a genuine 998 Cooper with the original engine and gearbox, all the glass is original and most of the interior trim, we have replaced the carpet.
We don’t have any photos of the underside but this could be done at some point for you.(I have these now)
Most of the exterior panels are original apart from the inner and outer sills and the o/s/f wing.
We did a full re-spray in 2002.
The engine is still running on leaded petrol
We don’t have any history as such before we acquired the vehicle but the previous owner to us had owned it since 1985 and is showing 5 owners in total. We purchased it from the previous owners widow.
We have a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate dated Sept 2009 confirming this vehicle was manufactured at Longbridge on the 9th March 1967."

The underside is undersealed plus the boot aperture board brackets are missing although the rivet holes are there so someone obviously didn't refit them during restoration. The bulkhead brackets are there. I checked with the MCR registrar and it was showing from years ago owned by M.Turner and in need of restoration. The current owner had the servo fitted. Looks ok but I was a bit put off by the underseal.
