It’s a lovely small bore head Dave and the bottom end is just as nice. The 185 has been worked by a true craftsman, just wish I knew which of the Downton boys did it and it’s history. I do know it was used on a racing Morris Minor and was fitted with twin 1/12s which are now on Nev’s Radford.

Early in-board traveller fuel tank:

De-rustet and repainted, so used. But it's literally around the corner, if the seller is not willing to ship abroad, I could collect & ship :)

It appears to have the later large rear window?

Looks like a normal mk1 to me.

It does have the remains of the body coloured steel arch trim, front nearside is till on the wing.

The dash looks to be from a later car though.

It has featured here before, so the seller is probably not prepared to let it go "too cheaply"
It's funny how the same cars/adverts come up over and over again - even when the listings were "no reserve" and appeared to sell - and sometimes when feedback has been left(!)
The black speedo is plainly from a later Mini but apart from that and a few other small details it looks pretty authentic to me.

As he says, there are not so many early cars available for reatoration anymore. Granted, that one requires quite a lot of work.
