DOWNTON Mini is what I like a lot.

I'm sure that the manifold on mine is dowelled to the head and doesn't have the location rings - maybe it has just lost them.

Also the head seems to be have been stamped at least twice. Is that common ?

Yep that was one of mine . Only difference that I can see is those dreadful mats and GB on the back . Bloody cheek saying JD classics restored it . Still looks nice . I made what I think is record breaking money for a mk2 , so will be interesting to see what it goes for .... ken
