"The van has been restored to exacting standards of this early mark"

Including a later shell!

Various dealers have been trying to sell that ding-a-ling for several years!!

Later shell ? Tell me I tought it would be nice to convert it to an Downton Service VAN

The vans nice I’d have thought they would have fitted door cards for the photos.

If you put Downton on the side and found a number plate that was close to the original Downton works van maybe it’s worth that price :D

Ah,I forgot about the tea stained paper work to complete the history files :?

Should have flat screen frames! So it's been reshelled, fair enough, so what but you can't claim it's the earliest van when it ain't anymore!

Isn't this the same dealer that's offering a '1972' MK3 S that looks like it's got a rod change shell

It last appeared on here when it was for sale through a Cotswold classic dealer.

The Mk 3 S with the XA2S1 chassis number prefix?

MG Trailer.

See 'Revisions' and draw your own conclusions.
Advertised around 40 times over the last 5 years.

Seems a similar backstory to an MGB diesel for sale some time ago

Just imagine what you could create from an ex-Abingdon trailer 8-)

I must admit I was somewhat dubious about that diesel MGB. I mean - WHY would they?? WHY didn't have an Abingdon registration number?? Anybody who has ever driven a BMC B Series Diesel will remember how dismally slow they are and just laugh at the prospect!
