Had a family day out today at Essex Motor Show. Family press ganged me into taking the Cooper S. Set off on an epic journey in one of the hottest days in ages. Great little show with good mixture of motors. Car sat in loads of traffic with not even a hint of the Mini overheating. Unfortunately my family did. It was sweltering and with no moving air in the cabin plus BMC's finest vinyl seats we turned in to a very sweaty group. Can anybody suggest or recommend a 12 volt aftermarket fan for the interior of my car that is any good.can buy one off eBay but wanted a recommendation so I don't waste my money. Cheers. Mark

I thought it was meant to be character building to sit on black vinyl in shorts as a child on a summers day?

You also need to include a Moke in the fleet for just such days - You'll never the kids out of it ;)

May I suggest getting the tin opener out and fitting a Webasto? :o

No , thought not.

I hated roof plasters til I got the Radford and now I think it's the tits! 8-) (as long as it's not a contrasting colour)

Kept this fella cool enough!

Summer weather in California means it's time to remove the windows! It's 102f up at the track today, but it's handy as the trim paint and interior glue don't arf dry quick....................

Paint the top white!

A sunroof won't solve the problem. Moving, yes, but not moving, no.

I've got a small one, around 6" in diameter and uses a cigarette lighter power source. It even has an oscillating sweep to get a couple of people cool. Once you're doing over 60kph it doesn't do much, but it can be very good when stuck in traffic!

It would be pretty similar to this one, just without the control box

I have a fan very much like the one shown below. It is mounted permanently to the bottom of the shelf in front of and above the passenger's feet. When I drive the car by myself I leave it in the fixed position blowing on me. When I have passengers I put it in oscillating mode. I run this fan in combination with the factory heater/ventilation fan so there is some fresh air coming in to move around.
