There was only ever one Batman & this was him.

Image

I was sort of disappointed that he didn't meet his end strapped to a giant circular saw, at the tip of an umbrella spewing poison gas or even being broiled to death in a giant Tea cup.

Best TV prog of my childhood & I still occasionally indulge today.

Goodbye Adam, you were the original a best Batman.

PS. Did anyone else notice that mayor West on Family Guy sounded remarkably similar to Millionaire Philanthropist Bruce Wayne

Agreed.....the modern Batman films do nothing for me......and I still have my original Corgi 'Batmobile' towing the 'Bat Boat' in a box of my old 1960's Corgi toys in the loft! :D

Even today I am reminded of the cynical wit and wisdom of the show. In one episode young Dick Grayson was having difficulty solving a simple Algebra equation as part of his studies...moments later as Robin, he was repairing the reactor that powered the Batcave!
I also enjoyed the Dynamic Duo 'climbing' up the side of a building and a noted celeb popping out a window.
RIP
Tom

On arriving at a Boxing match in full Bat regalia, the usher asks. . .

"Your usual seat Batman"?

Batman replies,

"No, not today, I'll just stand at the back, I would want to attract undue attention".

GENUIS!

A very talented guy! Latterly, played insanely eccentric Mayor West in Family Guy to perfection!
