Think some one else said, seems some cars just keep doing the rounds....maybe bought at top of slowly deflating market - but still believe, if they persist, some muppet will still pay £40k for a “shed”.

the Mk3 seats. GT engine, new chassis plate and brand new number plates would have me asking more questions.

Plus new servo brackets and bolts.

For the right money (so very sub 10 grand) and if it's not as rotten as a pear, it'd be worth a mechanical going-through and a 2 grand paint job to make it into a tidy thing to smoke about in.

Restored 12" GT at H&H. High estimate (reserve), but then that's probably the cost of a restoration for something similar.

Lovely example though, they always looked great in blaze orange.

It does look similar but I'd expect one that age to be Vermillion ;) .

I do like the GT's not so much the later ones though, always think they seem a little too watered down
certainly looks like it has had a decent job done on it though.
i would really like an early'ish one

I think that is about right now. That car has been for sale with three auction houses in the last 3 years.

Started out as Brooklands shortky after being discovered, asking price £10,000

https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C906756

https://www.historics.co.uk/buying/auct ... ification/

Appeared at CCA a year later after being polished and detailed. I think the estimate was £12,000 and it did not sell.

And now it ends up at Anglia and makes almost £8,000.

Has the market been adjusted or is it still falling?

CCA have the Cilla Black W&P Mini 1000 Auto in their August sale. Will the celebrity connection help it reach its estimate of £24,000 - £28,000?
