I've picked up some door cards, on which one has what seems to be an original dealer plate on it

No good to me , long shot but some one may be in need of it ?

Hi Scott,

My late father used to have a garage and car hire business in Tooting SW17 in the 1960's and I am pretty sure he used to mention and deal with Trinity Cars. My brother has recently restored a Minivan and signwritten it in our Dad's company name so if you still have the dealer plate it would be quite appropriate to attach it to the van door card. If so let me know and I will pm details.

Martin

I still have this nice period ad leaflet for his garage business from the late 1950's/early 1960's:-

The Trinity Cars premises still existed a couple of years ago. They were an Austin retail dealers so unlikely to appear on any Heritage Cert.

Brings back memories this! as young scalawags we used to pinch 1275 cores from there loading dock where they'd stack the warranty returns! Great source of blocks for the race car. And I used to work for J. Davy at there place on Putney Bridge Rd in Putney way back when.

Sorry I've taken a while to reply to this post. I was hoping that someone would have an appropriate home for this, but didn't hold out much hope, due to the obscurity :D

Martin, I'm Absolutely stoked that it is suitable for your brothers minivan, as I can relate to the tribute of a car to a family member to keep there memory alive. Thanks also for putting the scan of the flyer up too, I absolutely love glances back in time to a fantastic era

I will pm you now, and get your address so I can get it in the post to you

Another successful rehoming thanks to this forum!

Thanks

Scott
