Just bought an woodrim steering wheel, looks like my Chauffeur wheel.
But this has an stange F on its side and a number 220 at the back.

QUESTION: What is it, who made it :geek:

Thanks in advance, Kees.

This is my Chauffeur wooden steering wheel, looks the same and has a Classic Mini Mk1 boss on it

Now for sale 150 pounds + P&P.

Kees

Hi Kees,

Its a vintage FORMEL that was the German version of the Formula steering wheel, not easy to find very desirable from BMW guys, and some VW/porsche 356´s guys has well. Later became Indianapolis /Formel and finnaly droped the Formel becaming just Indianapolis. yours is quit "old" but I have seen them on ebay.de every now and than, some have the word FORMEL in front left spoke, others just the F (the º I dont know wat it is) maybe do a research on oncle Google by using keywords " Formel /Holzlenkrad/ Alts Holzenkrad. and on

Best regards

Hi,

Many many thanks very glad to have the answer,
will have a good look on google.
I bought it from fleebeeUK so I'll hope it's a Mk1 boss.

Thanks again, will try to make this wheel like new.

Cheers, Kees

;) Did they do the Chauffeur steering wheel to,
it's the same wheel with the same boss :!:
Only the wood is in one colour, the formel in two.

:geek: Kees.
