I got to know John a little when he was racing in the GTCC.

Despite his truly legendary status, John was always happy to be treated as "one of the lads" sharing his tips & tricks with us young upstarts. No racing Mini is truly complete without a patented Rhodes sponge on a stick for use on rainy days.

Happy Birthday John!

that was a good weekend - the only (I think) time I ever beat John, he was driving the Youles 1460, but it was so wet that the power was just too much,

Belated birthday wishes to the great John Rhodes and trust we are able to send John many more birthday wishes. I’m so proud to have seen John racing his Connaught Green Mk2 Cooper S. I never was into rallying and always followed circuit racing so for me John is a true racing legend who I will never forget. My first Autocross Mini was painted Connaught Green with the Cooper logo, it was a Mk1 as back then I could not afford a nice Mk2, funny old world. :D

Happy Birthday Mr. Rhodes.

I was lucky enough to meet him at the first Goodwood Revival. He took his time to talk and signed a picture for me. It was great to watch him race.
