Mini 25 Donington programme

Post by Jack of all trades »

Can anybody who has one supply me a good scan of one?

Could also be nice for the main site!

I have a poster somewhere and some A4 sized ones

I had a trade stall at it and they arrived from Austin Rover on the Friday when the event was on Sunday

In fact I had THE trade stand. They were asking £110 for a stall when most shows were £25 tops. Everyone copped out until I had the bright idea that if everyone else wasn't standing for it , I could be in for a good thing

I took such gems as 35 sets of nudge bars and sold everything. I didn't know where to stuff the cash.

We were doing convertible conversions and we managed to get the roof off a 25 in time but didn't have time to make a hood for it. Luckily it didn't rain all weekend

How times change

Some Mini 25 memorabilia from my visit to Mini 25 as an Exhibitor way back in 1984.

Gosh, I wonder why umbrellas were so expensive? I doubt you would pay £12 for one now unless it was a dead posh version.

I'm second in the queue here to go out for the parade laps.

This Mini from Sweden was one of the first Mini's I had seen fitted with the then brand new low profile Pirelli P7F 175/50 x 13 tyres on 6x13" alloys. I went out and bought a set shortly after!

I have this poster with all the racing drivers signatures that day. I also have a nice pic with dad on the front row. Will dig them out over the weekend.
