Wiper arms position

My car is Left Hand Drive my wipers are parking on the left hand side in front of the steering wheel is this correct for Mk II 1968 Cooper S.? I've seen pictures when it's left hand drive the wipers are parked on the right hand side.

LHD shoul;d park on the left, according to this press photo.

... and that is so the wipers can wipe away that gush from your drivers view immediately at the flick of the switch. In a swift action like every Mini wiper does :lol: :lol:

Maybe that Mini was converted from RHD to LHD :ugeek:

Mk 3 and onwards the wipers do not park in front of the driver

Mk3 onwards have the two alternative hole positions for LH and RH drive wiper parking positions in the windscreen scuttle panel, blanked off with black rubber grommets.

My late Mk2 had this scuttle panel that allowed for l/h and r/h use

The later scuttle panel with the additional wiper piercings is often listed as 1969 or 1970-on but I guess this is another case of late Mk2 Minis often having some Mk3 features like body colour or boot lid, etc?
