Just a quick observation on the age old subject of poor quality rubber seals.
I am currently re assembling my 1966 Austin 1275 S & last night I was fitting the rear quarter light & boot seals.
Both these were purchased recently from Minispares & I am pleased to report that both the rear quarter seals & boot seal fitted absolutely perfectly & everything closed more or less as they should.
The only slight annoyance was that the boot seal clips were not great. The tail was a little bit bigger than the originals making it hard to get them to go through the holes & they weren't very hard meaning that in stead of clipping in, some tended to squash instead. Still, I managed to get all seals fitted without any hitches in about an hour & a half.
The actual quality & fit of the seal was FIRST CLASS!

Re: Rubber seals
Have to agree that the rear 1/4 light seals from MS are excellent. HOY's windows shut really nicely on them.
Their MK1 door seals are excellent as well.
Haven't tried a boot seal yet as still waiting for warm weather to re-paint it
Glad I've got a load of NOS original clips though by the sounds.

Re: Rubber seals
Yep I can also chip in here . The latest door seals are far better than any new old stock item that has gone hard over time . ... ken
