DHL just managed 3½ days from Bristol, UK (nippycars) to me here in Cambridge MA, USA.

Looks like they are re-routing freight from Heathrow up via East Midlands, before the transatlantic leg to New York.

On the other hand, my parcel to Nick Upton left me on the 26th and was delivered on the 28th by UPS. Pretty impressive.

We are getting off course on the thread....there is no problem with the big couriers...they have their own planes etc.
The issue is with the postal services....they depend on commercial airlines to ferry the International mail.
DHL, FED X and UPS will not carry mail....they see the postal service as a competitor.
You only have to look at how many planes are parked to understand why the post is having such an issue.
I too, have had a shipment with Fed X delivered from the UK in 5 days.....and one from MS with DHL in 5 days
Just hope the parts I sent out a few weeks ago get there soon.

EMA is DHL's main UK hub so makes sense in the current situation I guess?
