Elaborate Scams

I had one a couple of weeks ago some supposed bailiff company

Told me his name and office and gave me a bailiff website to look at sure enough his supposed name and company was there anybody could do that obviously but it creates that little bit more of the illusion

Saying i had not paid my company PAYE payments

I said i had and i had evidence

He said let me check, came back and said yes but it has been allocated to your personal tax account

I said just swap the payment over

He said cant do that if you just pay it now and call HMRC they will credit the wrong payment back to you original bank account ( actually thought it was legit till this point)

You must pay this PAYE amount now to stop a bailiff coming to your place of business

I said i will take my chances and hung up
