I remember many happy Saturday evenings spent at Wimbledon Stadium in the 1970's watching another batch of A60's meet their end in the Destruction Derby. Definitely the vehicle of choice for Banger racers at the time and sadly sometimes still today. Anyone selling a classic A60 has to be on guard for purchase by a potential banger racer, especially as values are not that high in classic car terms, even for a mint condition example of the many different versions made by BMC. Even so Banger racers have been reported to sometimes send a third party to complete a purchase so as not to alert the sellers to the real reason for buying it.

I'm not a fan of Farinas (except the big 6 cyl ones) but it's a pity to still be killing off cars that have lasted 60 years or so.
