ADO16 Jacking Point
I am about to replace the outer sill skin of my 1300GT. Since, it is rather rusty, I am not sure if it has jacking point or where these jacking points are to be located. I do have jacking point panels but would not know where to fit them. Any suggestions?

Re: ADO16 Jacking Point
The Mk1 ado16 had a jacking point in the middle of the sill but this was discontinued I think at the start of mk2 production therefore a 1300GT wouldn't have had any. It was probably deleted due to the sills being rotten after a couple of years and unsafe to jack on. They were surprisingly sound on my Mk1.
The correct outer sills for your car would not have the cutout for the jacking point.

Re: ADO16 Jacking Point
A big thank you for the pictures!! Indeed, my 1300GT has nothing at that location (not even something completely rotten). So, I guess I have two jacking point panels for sale

Re: ADO16 Jacking Point
Do you mean you have the membrane panels with the jacking points incorporated?. Just use them, the outer sill will fit over them no problem. If you have outer sills with the cutouts just weld in a filler piece.

Re: ADO16 Jacking Point
ON the subject of ADO16 jacks, were there two types ?
earlier similar to mini mk2/3 jack and a later one of "Scissor" type ?
I've found a jack in my shelfs , very similar to a mini one ..but slightly bigger , same red color.
cheers
