ADO16 rear fuel pipe layout
Has anyone got any photos of how the fuel pipe runs from the pump to the main floor please ?
The pipe on Dad's VDP had rotted away so he is not sure how it runs around/over the rear subframe etc.

Hi Robin,
It's from the electric fuel pump to the carbs I guess. He has made the pipe that goes from the tank to the pump. The remains of the pipe is still in place under the main floor so its a case of how it goes from there back to the fuel pump.

I don't have very clear photos unfortunately. The first shows the tank removed. The line from the pump attaches to the tank flange with the p clip. The pipe then seems to follow the hydro pipe route but can't be 100%. In the second photo you can just about make out the fuel pipe disappearing behind the subframe.

Thanks Robin
So it looks like the pipe goes up and behind the subframe then over to the LH side and then re-emerges to follow the LH hydro pipe along the tunnel. Am I thinking correct here ?
I'm guessing the joiner with a piece of rubber tube is a previous repair ?

I think that's correct Andrew, I can have a look tomorrow to see if I can confirm. Yes the pipe should be one piece, no join,
Robin

I have tried to take some photos with my car still on the ground, with mixed success.
See if they are of any help to you.

Re: ADO16 rear fuel pipe layout
Is that the fuel pipe running under the hydro pipe along the r/h floor ?
Will have to stick my head under the VDP to get my head around it a bit easier

Yes, the fuel and hydro pipes run together along the floor/tunnel and are secured with the same tabs.
