Could anybody tell me from what car this rather large hydrolastic unit is?
In the bottom of the pic a Mini unit for comparison.

Re: Hydrolastic unit - from what car ?
That is an ADO16 hydrolastic unit. If it has no valve at the pipe connection, it is a rear unit. If it has a valve it is a front unit. These are getting hard to get now. That unit will also fit the Austin / Morris / 1800 / 2200 and Wolseley 1885 / 2200 rear only. We sell good condition units over here for £80 each if that helps.

Thanks Alan.
I bought this as described for Mini, so I have no use for it. Now I know & can sell it again.
