Is the nylon (?) bush the same in an ADO16 steering rack as it is in a Mini rack ?

Looks like the bush is U/S in Dad's VDP's rack, so need to source a replacement bush.

They are the same. We fit phosphor bronze bushes to all steering racks we recondition. The phosphorus bronze bush is the long term solution over the plastic bush that with age just falls to bits. :D

Thanks for confirming that Alan. :) Are phosphor bronze bushes available ?

Jeremy, good to know there is a replacement close to home, should Dad deem a replacement necessary :)

Cheers

Andrew

PS - Jeremy ... parts of the MG's inner wings are being used to rebuild the VDP's inner wings ;)

Andrew, phosphor bronze bushes are available from the 1100 Club. I forget who we got them from. Contact Derek Bayliss the 1100 Club Spares Adviser who will know who supplied these. Derek's telephone number is 01746 710682 or email him at spares-advisor@the1100club.com

Derek Bayliss is a very helpful bloke :D
