The only reason this car is still for sale it is over priced. It is worth 10K anyday and not 15K. I've said earlier these cars have true Mini DNA and are so much fun to drive. :D :D :D

He clearly never uses any of his cars... Ive never seen any of them about, and I'm in Halifax!

That turbo is so nice! I always regret not buying two turbos, a mk1 project and a mk2 complete runner for £2k about 3 years ago... Oh how I'd be laughing now...

I had a MK1 Turbo back in the 1980s. Loved it, drove it to the full and spent all my money in Minispares at Frien Barnet repairing it!! So wish I had it now.

The Turbo was only ever any good with the gearbox beefed up (old A Series 3rd m/shaft bearing) and the boost wound up a tad to give 110-120 bhp. Really, a 205GTI would run rings around it.
I found the standard MG a better bet, and a 40 bhp 998 Metro a very entertaining flat out cross country drive. :D They were so much nicer than the Fiesta 1/2.

Nice...

I still have an uncut 'FIRST IN CAD/CAM' windscreen sticker for one of them, blue on white as on the 6R4 in the advert, think these weren't used as often as the white on blue ones? I worked with someone whose son (I think it was) worked for the team or had something to do with them anyhow and he must of got hold of it and some other stickers and had passed them on to his dad and because I was interested in motorsport and all that and had an Austin Rover motorsport sun visor wotsit on the windscreen of the MK1 Mini I was running about in at the time his dad gave them to me as he thought I'd appreciate them, which I did!
