At that price it would be a good buy. They are very rare over here so in Canada it must be unique.

Despite their rarity, given the condition of those sills and rockers, restoration of that one would be a labour of love.

I'd be leaving that where it stands :o ........
However able you are with a welder, the parts costs and availability would be a big stumbling block and they are not a valuable car despite the rarity.

Granted it may not be financially viable, but at that money it is worth saving if you had the space to keep it. There have been a lot worse restored in the past and someone would probably take it on in the coming years. If it gets crushed it would be a complete waste.

too be fair to it, if you really want one, and they are rare, and you are not bothered about the time and cost then anything is achievable

one of my other projects has swallowed a huge amount of time and welding and was just a scrapper when i bought it, so if you are stupid/bloody minded enough anything is aceivable.

you just need to 'forget' that it will cost you 3 or 4 times what the car is worth, but to be fair any decent restoration of an ADO16 will end up like this.

i know what i have spent on my orange one so far.......
