 Found on the internet, know nothing about it.
The white spot on the picture is not on the picture it self.
Looks like an ADO16 MGB conversion or so.

Kees

I'm sorry, I don't follow you. How would you convert an engine for a rear wheel drive setup be used in a car designed with front wheel drive? What about the picture suggests a conversion? Again... sorry, I'm just not familiar with what you are suggesting.

its got a MGB boot lid fitted to it, so its a nice (ish) hatch back conversion, just what the ADO16 should have from the factory

Exactly.
It was one of the hatchback conversions that were offered for the ADO16 at the time.

Was it Crayfords that offered the alloy 1100 tailgate?

Very very nice indeed!!!

When my dad was in the dealership in the '60s, one of the guys he worked with had a Minivan with rear seat conversion done. He then cut the back off and grafted on the rear of an MGB GT and then hinged a cut down one piece rear van door to give a sort of Range Rover like shootbreak type opening. Would love to see a photo of it. Dad said it looked fantastic.
Another guy in the garage attempted to copy this apparantly but just cut the sides out of his van and bent the roof down to give a sort of coupe roofline. It was not a success it seemed lol
