Here's another take on the rwd Austin: https://www.blocket.se/alvsborg/Austin_ ... a=23_7&w=3
and a vid: https://youtu.be/Ns402JIzMOo
Sales blurb: Austin A35

Selling this odd car, it is hopped up with a Ford Escort 1300Gt engine. Pointless ignition system is fitted, ported head, electric fuel pump, and has 64 revvy bhp. Gearbox and rear axle from escort, and pedal stand with escort hanging pedals. Disc brakes from Audi, Audi main cylinder, Brakes on the back from the escort, and handbrake from Escort. The car is virtually rustfree, with giant spoiler up front, the bonnet has holes after a scoop. The paint is black with elements (flake?) of purple. Paintjob looks a bit tired but ok at some distance. JP alloys with wide tires. The tires have good thread but are around 30 years old. Handling is a bit special. Work is needed to get it better - to soft front and too hard back at the moment. The car attracts lots of attention and happy faces. Mot'd for the last time this fall (Swedish rules!). Price is 35,000 kr or best bid. Front bumper fitted after the pic's was taken.

Small note: JP alloys where made in Sweden in late 60s to 70s.

Not the best at english sayings, but isnt it something like this:
'To be able to win you must be finnish first'
Something like that.

Not sure if the credit is true but didn't Makinen once say "To finish first, first you must be Finnish"

I though we'd established that my cars are only 'finished' when the buyers cheque clears?

A40 has been neglected of late due to other pressures on time and funds (and brain!)

It's not yet made it to Ebay (yet), so there is hope I may go back to it
