SO. Here's a few pics of 'the kids inheritance' (as it has become known by my ever patient better half).

Many, many, many hours spent so far to get to this point but it's off to the body shop for fettling and paint next week so I thought it time to let the cat out of the bag, so to speak.

As Rich will testify. This is madness. total madness.

No such thing as madness in that, just absolutely wonderful!

Will you pay for the paintjob with goldbars?

Thats a rare Chinese 6x Bus that you have... keep going & prepare as the repro Italian Job Bus & remember to put the window blinds inside the back .. Get your project finished & then into a Glossy Car Magazine Feature and or a TV show such as amazing spaces.. you will then get the Goodwood Invite .. once you have had some good exposure & publicity .. then is the time to Sell because Classic Transporters are getting big money= Result .. Her indoors can then say she told you so & your Kids will be very happy with "their money" !
Great Project.

I actually bent the rhf hubcap on my coach so that it matched the slight wobble that the one in the film had

you could just see it out the mirror when you where driving it. 8-)

they are not actually that rare, the plaxton panorama body style is quite common, more survive with this style than any other - it is the best looking one as well, some of them where just square blocks

the 6 wheeled VAL are also much more common than the VAM which was the 4 wheel medium sized one.

I could go on, but don't want to own up to been a massive Bedford / panorama anorak.................

they are also beautiful to drive and work on, they are just like a big mini - made when stuff was made to be taken to bits and fixed
