Does a project to turn the forerunner of the Mini from an MoT fail into a proper racecar count in this section ?

I understood the other day that these should have about 85 bhp. So, what's their specs? 1293cc + late midget S/C box?

The cam is a secret, but probably 285 territory. The head is a big-valved NOS MPi casting. Compression is reportedly around the 12.5-13:1 region, hence having to run 105 octane race fuel.
Power was 74bhp at the wheels on the Janspeed road.

Gearbox is standard 1275 Midget. No SC gears of LSD allowed.

Interesting 8-) Would there be a Mini-variant of the academy class?

Isn't that Mighty Minis ?

The HRDC Academy is purely for A30 & A35s.

It's kinda cheating, as I bought he car a year ago and actually raced it at Revival (a stunning debut) but here we go...

As advertised - an MoT failure with pretty much zero brakes.

Obviously, the first thing to do was weigh her. Getting on and off the trailer was interesting, as she really did have no brakes...

Once the weigh-in was completed, it was time to assess and strip.

Looks like a good solid basis though.
