I do wish that they had just stuck a 4" hub from a mini on these cars....

Seen these, just in case anyone was interested: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Datsun-Nissan ... Sw5cNYFchQ

Never been a huge fan of the slots myself, but 12" in the right PCD, someoner may want them!

My search continues....

they wouldn't fit, look at the offset

you need wheels that are just about flat

a set of d1's is the best way to go

all the rare small jap stuff that does fit is mega money

Would it not be possible to have the hubs/drums re-drilled to 4". It's what the VW crowd do so that they can fit Porsche wheels.

the front yes, but you will still have the issue with the choice of low offset wheels

the problems at the rear is that the drum and the hub is one unit, so its not easy to get the hub redrilled - I actually think that there are voids where the studs would want to be

No, The rear hub would certainly take re drilling, I had one in bits & changed the studs only at the weekend.

We used a set of 14" MGB Minilight copies on the "racecar", the front arches needed to be massaged a bit, but the back fit fine. We are anticipating running bigger brakes and the 14" wheels will provide all the space we could ever need.
Tires are 185 55 14 and offer colossal amounts of grip.
