Done a good 75 miles now, no one local does black and white plates, and seen as I only got the number plate from DVLA a couple of days ago I just made up some reflective ones and cabled then on to get some miles on, all ok so far, chrome side trim fell off so need to rivet that on, had to heighten the suspension a little for our Lakeland roads for running in purpose , so spanner check, get some more miles this afternoon, then rollers tomorrow morning !

jealous of your progress!

Got mine running yesterday, carb in bits again last night and today, hopefully running again later today but at the moment it wont even drive out the yard. :roll:
and i seem to have the sq root of f'all oil pressure when its warmed up.. :?

Been round the block and OMG :D :D , nippy and loud, my dad heard everybit of my drive out from home.. :lol:
More tweaks on the fuelling required yet and more importantly need to investigate the almost total lack of oil pressure.

Brilliant !!! Still 5 nights to sort Rich !

I got another 25 miles done, but when I checked it over before my final run I re adjusted the rear brakes and noticed one side rear wheel bearings running rough, so I'll change em both before I clock up any more miles.

Getting excited now !, started the strip down and bare shell build back in sept 2014, it's been a long time coming !

Tried an electronic smiths gauge, which was worse :( . tried both a stiffer (s?) spring and the longer one that came with the ball bearing from MS, still crap, tried one of those adjustable kits and screwing it in made no difference at all.
I'm hoping thats its the seat isnt sealing as I've ordered one of the normal bullet valves to try from Minspares. I've also got a new seat to go in but of course need to get the old one out first.

Working today so no play time till tonight.

Also ordered some more bling bits from MED, fancy rockers and mirror supports so i can see who's passing me.

Chuck the ball away, I don't know anyone who has had any success with these.

I junked balls & went back to bullets years ago & have had no problems of this sort since.

The ball is OK in theory, but I suspect that they bounce around on the seat & don't seal properly.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

A good morning on the rollers, was hoping for a little more power but generally happy with 101.5 at the engine with a 25bhp drop off, and 86 lbs-ft torque, Rob reckons if I had gone the Weber route the engine is capable of at least another 10 to 15 Bhp (which is what I was looking for) with the 1 1/2 carbs holding it back a little, but would I loose all that torque for the hillclimbs, hey only time will tell !

Weather forecast was looking grim for weekend, now says dry with sunny spells Saturday and rain showers Sunday after 4pm. OK it'll be a bit cool and James will have about ten layers on :lol: but I'll take that!

Yup, Weather forecast has been getting better & better for the last couple of weeks. Hopefully we could be in for a much brighter, less wet Blyton this year. But remember to bring your thermal undies with you, I think they will be needed!
